Scottish Borders Housing Association is seeking a Repairs Analyst to join our Assets and Property Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills and a passion for improving services through high‑quality data, insight and reporting.
You will play a key role in ensuring our repairs data is accurate, meaningful and used effectively to support decision‑making, improve performance and enhance the customer experience.
Salary: £37,422 - £41,335 per year (pay award pending)
Location: Selkirk, Scottish Borders
Hours and terms: Full time, 35 hours per week, permanent

The role:
As Repairs Analyst, you will maintain and analyse repairs and maintenance data to support effective service delivery, planning and performance management across the organisation. You will work closely with colleagues across Property Services, Finance and Customer Services, providing insight that drives continuous improvement.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Maintain and analyse repairs and maintenance data to produce accurate performance reports, trend analysis and benchmarking insight.
Support monitoring of contractor performance, including quality, compliance and adherence to service standards.
Prepare and present clear, evidence‑based recommendations to improve service delivery, reduce costs and enhance tenant outcomes.
Ensure the integrity of repairs systems and data, including data standards, reporting processes and continuous improvement of methodologies.
Contribute to the development of planned and cyclical maintenance programmes using robust data insights.
Support procurement activities by providing high‑quality data and analysis for tendering processes.
Produce monthly KPIs and support annual ARC reporting for leadership, Board and regulatory purposes.
Work collaboratively across teams to support accurate coding, financial reconciliation and reporting of repairs expenditure.
Respond to queries from tenants, colleagues and contractors in a professional and timely manner.
Support compliance with regulatory requirements, data protection and health and safety standards.
Contribute to continuous improvement projects and wider organisational initiatives.Support procurement activities by providing high‑quality data and analysis for tendering processes.
What we're looking for:
We are looking for a proactive and detail‑focused individual who can turn data into meaningful insight and influence service improvement.
Essential:
Experience in data analysis, performance reporting or a similar analytical role within repairs, housing, construction or an operational environment.
Strong IT skills, including advanced Excel and experience of working with data systems.
Ability to interpret technical and financial information and present it clearly to non‑technical audiences.
Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach.
Experience of data validation and producing robust KPI reporting.
Commitment to continuous professional development.
Desirable:
Knowledge of housing repairs operations, contractor management and procurement processes.
Experience of housing systems (e.g. Northgate, Total Mobile) or reporting tools (e.g. Business Objects).
Understanding of regulatory reporting requirements such as ARC or SHQS.
Relevant qualification (e.g. HND or equivalent experience in a related discipline).
